The Hand Therapy Network is a division of the Rehab1Network and is recognized as one of the leaders in Upper Extremity Rehabilitation in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Our services include the evaluation and treatment of injuries and diseases of the upper extremity (the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand). Our goal is for every patient to achieve independence and return to his or her normal activities in a timely and cost effective manner. It is our mission to provide high quality rehabilitation services, support education, and create an environment in which our patients are our first priority.

Many of our clinical staff are certified by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission, which is the highest level of professional recognition a hand therapist can achieve.
A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an occupational therapist or physical therapist who has a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy. In addition, the Certified Hand Therapist has successfully passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation. Because of changes in the profession, every CHT is required to demonstrate continued professional development and competency by recertifying every five years.

Hand Therapy Network is dedicated to the advancement of the art and science of hand therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy. Our therapists teach at local universities, provide and attend continuing education for medical professionals, and participate in various educational projects for companies as well as for the general public.

Our programs are designed to prevent and treat pain, stiffness, weakness and deformity to minimize loss of function after injury or disease.
