PDF Print E-mail
Tai Chi Fundamental is a simplified form of Tai Chi in the Yang style.  Taught by one of our physical therapists/athletic trainers, this program is designed to improve the health of participants.  It is a great adjunct to a therapy program.  Many of the health benefits of Tai Chi have been documented by recent research:

  • Tai Chi is classified as a low to moderate intensity aerobic exercises with low impact on joints;
  • Tai Chi has been shown to decrease the production of stress hormones in the body;
  • Practitioners of Tai Chi have documented decreases in blood pressure;
  • Tai Chi practice is linked to improved balance and decreased fear of falling;
  • Tai Chi practice is beneficial for those with chronic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, oseteoarthritis, and cardiac and pulmonary conditions.
