Early Intervention Program

As the old saying goes, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”, Rehab1Network offers onsite programs which address employee’s symptoms (i.e. elbow pain, hand numbness, back pain, etc.).  Just as on the athletic field, if we can prevent an injury from happening, we can keep our players in the game and the team on the way to the championship.  If Rehab1Network can help your employees stay healthy, your company can maintain the level of productivity you want and demand, thereby reducing costs.

Our therapists provide interventions in accordance with OSHA first aid guidelines to prevent the injury from occurring.  When early symptom reporting is encouraged by the employer, symptoms are resolved or relieved approximately 90% of the time with no medical treatment required.

Early intervention is provided onsite at the workplace and is one-on-one with the symptomatic employee.  It may be performed 1-2 times per week or 1-2 times per month depending on the severity of symptoms, the employee’s response, and the employer’s preference.  It may include pain reduction techniques, massage, soft splinting/bracing, ergonomic changes, job task modification, employee training, and home programs.   Communication with supervisors and managers is emphasized to facilitate the most successful outcome.
Program Features:

  • Ergonomic Consultations:  An Industrial Rehabilitation Therapist will identify and make reasonable recommendations to reduce job hazards.
  • Job Analysis:  An Industrial Rehabilitation Therapist will meet with employers, managers/directors, team leaders, supervisors and employees to establish the baseline of the job purpose and essential functions.  The therapist will then perform a walkthrough in which he/she will observe, measure, weigh, count and may videotape the job in order to prepare a detailed job analysis.
